NBI has compiled projects which have demonstrated or predicted performance that is 30% above the Commercial Building Energy Consumption Survey (CBECS) average for their building use type. Some buildings have also met or exceeded a level of 50 percent better than code requirement for energy use. In each building every effort was made to gather measured energy data, either from utility billings or performance meters, to confirm the actual performance level. NBI regards measured performance as a fundamental necessity in the move towards increasingly lower EUI buildings.

How to Search

There are five search criteria available in the left-hand column. Each box contains a drop-down menu which allows you to tailor your search to your specific interests. To view the entire list of buildings click -all- for each search box.

Global Region:	Choose by Global Region (Note: Most buildings are in the U.S.)
U.S. Region:	Choose by Region in the U.S.
U.S. States:	Choose by State in the U.S.
Building Type:	Select a building use type (e.g. Office, School, Mixed-Use)
Building Size:	Select a building size range
New/Renovation:	Select "Renovation" to return buildings with any level of renovation (1-100%), otherwise select "New"
Energy Data:	Select "Actual" to return buildings with verified billing or meter data. All other buildings use "Simulated" or an actual/simulation combination
Search By Name:	Allows the user to search by entire or partial name
Detailed Search Criteria:	Allows the user to select from a large list of checkable search criteria
